Delta Gamma

Letter from Recruitment Chair

To our future sisters of Delta Gamma,

I am counting down the days until we all get to see you running home to 143 North Copeland Street on Bid Day. That may just sound like an address right now, but I promise it will soon become your home and mean so much more. I don’t know any of you yet, but what I do know is that you are all so special and are going to make a tremendous impact on this Chapter. Recruitment is such an exciting experience that involves making a decision that will impact you not only throughout college but for the rest of your life. You probably don’t realize it yet, but I promise you Delta Gamma will help shape you into a more confident person and a better version of yourself. It will provide you with countless opportunities to grow yourself as a person, friend, leader, and sister.

College is a time where you truly find yourself and make lifelong friendships. Your sisters will be there for you through the best and the worst times. DG has given me my best friends and some of my best memories. From our new member retreat campfire to our sisterhood retreat at Disney World when we ran around to all the rides in the pouring rain, to living together, studying together, traveling together, and everything in between. Those are just a few of my favorite memories and I can’t wait to watch you all make your own. You have so many exciting times ahead of you and I hope you cherish every moment you spend in Delta Gamma.

I hope you all take advantage of all the opportunities that DG provides you with over the next few years. I encourage you to get involved in something that you are passionate about and push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Get involved in our philanthropy! Get involved in leadership opportunities! Live in the house! Go to every event you can! Bond with your sisters! Because I promise you in 4 years you’re going to look back and wonder where the time went.

We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors in August and someday call you our sisters!

All my love,

   Alex Lacambra
